Jonathan attends liver disease event in Parliament

Jonathan has attended a liver disease event in Parliament hosted by the British Liver Disease Trust, and has since asked the Secretary of State for Heath and Social Care the following questions:

 

  • To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps his Department is taking to improve the diagnosis of liver disease.
  • To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans his Department has to publish a new national strategy for liver disease.
  • To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made on the need for improved diagnosis of liver disease.
  • To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans his Department has to provide support to expand the use of local liver mobile screening units.
  • To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the potential effect of the introduction of financial incentives to increase early diagnosis rates for liver disease.
  • To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans his Department has made to reduce regional variation in early diagnosis for liver disease by improving it across the country.
