Jonathan attended the Woking Volunteer of the Year Awards 2019 at the WWF Living Planet Centre, where representatives of more than 20 local charities gathered to celebrate the achievements of residents who have gone the extra mile in serving our community.
In Woking, the number of people who are claiming key out-of-work benefits has fallen by 830 since 2010 – an overall reduction of 58% per cent, meaning fewer people now need this support because they have the security of a job.
With a third of Surrey’s wildlife in decline or extinct, Surrey Wildlife Trust welcomed Jonathan to walk on Ash Ranges and experience first-hand a local place where wildlife is thriving and discuss how the important habitat is protected and improved.
