Jonathan Lord MP welcomes the launch of the Environmental Improvement Plan

The Government has launched its Environmental Improvement Plan, setting out the steps it is taking to deliver on restoring nature, improving biodiversity and ensuring a cleaner, greener environment.

 

This includes:

 

🌳 Creating or restoring 500,000 hectares of wildlife habitat

⏰ A pledge for everyone to live no more than 15 minutes from a green or blue space

💧 Upgrading our water system including restoring 700km of river

 

This plan will be welcomed by all in #Woking and I’m very pleased that the government is taking significant steps to protect and enhance our environment.
